The only way to get into this early morning Barona Casino private show is volunteering as a mentor in San Diego County. Also you get to meet Dat Phan and Angela Latham in person. Here are the details:

Dat Phan & Angela Latham will be performing live in the Convention Center at Barona Valley Ranch Resort & Casino at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday March 4th. This is a private show as part of the 10th Annual High School Hospitality Conference and will be attended by approximately 300 high school students from all over San Diego County. Many of these high school students come from some of most economically challenged areas of our county.

Although this is a private show, the organizers of the high school hospitality conference will allow some UCSD students to attend free of charge. They ask that in return, you sit with some of the high school students during the breakfast and act as a "mentor" perhaps sharing words of advice about transitioning from high school student to junior college or university student. Imagine you are 16 again, what would you love to have known then that you know now?

I've had alot of great questions reguarding Tuesdays awesome event.

There's no way of predicting the turn out at this event, and we had to turn away a lot of people at the Hollywood Improv show - so here is your fair warning: First come, first serve. Show up early if you want to gaurantee entry.

Also, some of you have told me that the rsvp website is difficult to use. If you can't get it to work, just make sure you're a Yes on this evite and come down early if you can. I'll be down in that area for food around 6:30 with my crew, so feel free to come down and hang.

ASIA NITE 2008

Asian Students Association at NCSU is a non-profit organization that serves as a provider of educational resources and experiences about the Asian culture. The Asian Students Association exposes others to Asian culture and brings unity to both the NCSU campus and Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) community through social, educational, and service programs activities.

ASIA NIGHT is ASA's most widely publicized event of the year attracting an audience over 700. This show aims to give a taste of Asia to its audience through music, dance, fashion and sheer entertainment from organizations within NCSU and the Triangle, including UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke. For the past 12 years, ASA has been grateful to be able to bring people from all around together for this cultural experience, and our audiences have increased dramatically.

This year, ASIA NIGHT 2008 will be held in Stewart Theatre of NC State University's Talley Student Center. It will consist of performances from various Asian Organizations.

Hello everybody!

It's getting pretty hectic this year. I'm on the touring road performing 3 1/2 weeks out of the month. Although I'm very grateful for having my comedy tour; There are small subtle things I miss when I'm on the road, like sleeping in my own bed, doing my laundry, not eating out at restaurants all the time, my own blankets, cuddling with a girl that I've known for a while while watching a movie in my living room... I guess it's human nature to seek comfort.

Good news; I just heard word from my comedy tour manager Emmett Vu Morgan that half of our comedy tour is Sold Out so far. I'm excited about that.

I'll be performing Live Comedy at The Ferst Center Theatre in Atlanta, GA on Oct 12th, 2007 come see me! Call (404)894-9600 for ticket info. There should be some seats left!

About the photo posted above: Within the last two years I have flown close to two million miles total. We've hit 45 states and over 350 cities across North America and Canada. Sometimes my crew and I are on the road touring for several weeks in a row and we start getting a little wacky. I believe the cause is sleep deprivation and constant flying, jet lag, and waiting in airports. I was running on about 2 hrs of sleep when this photo was taken. I still think living out of airplanes, hotels, and suit cases are much better than living under a desk.

From left to right is Emmett Vu Morgan (my road manager), Dat Phan (me), and Martin Mansour (friend and road crew member) is holding the camera. To temporarily take our minds off of the road madness, we decided to play some hacky sack during our two hour lay over Cincinnati.

Here's a photo of me performing for 45 minutes in front of over 1,700 people at a convention. It felt like I was performing stand-up comedy in front of half a city block. About the photo posted above: I was never afraid of elephants until I saw what one did to Jeff Corwin. Those animals are strong! I saw an Elephant on CNN toss Jeff around like a rag doll then it effortlessly ripped up his left arm tendons with its trunk. You wouldn't believe the actual strength of this magnificent creature!

I need the tendons in my arms to hold up the microphone. Thats me hiding to the left while co-hosting an animal show at Marine World.

Travis's most recent movie project prior to this one is in post production and is called "Ready Or Not".

And the guy to the far right is my personal Road-Manager Emmett Vu Morgan.

On Tuesday, May 8th, 2007 at 11:00am to 12:00pm I (Dat Phan) will receive The Walk of Fame award at Grossmont College in San Diego County, CA. They will unveil the permanent Dat Phan plaque that's embedded in the cement by the library. I will be there on Campus and it would be an honor to me to meet all of you there. Since this is an out door daylight awards ceremony, I will most likely not do Stand-Up Comedy There; But the good news is that I will be handing out free tickets to everyone I meet to see me perform live stand up comedy in San Diego County this week. My crew and I shouldn't be hard to find by the Library. I usually go to bed at around 4:00am to 5:00am so just look for the Zombie like Comedian Vietnamese guy on Campus.

About the photo posted above: This St. Louis Arch is much, much, much larger than it may appear in the Photo. We had to walk half a mile from the parking lot just to get to the monument. It's the tallest monument we have in America!

Oh by the way, don't smoke. I was doing an impression of the older Asian men the squat while smoking at the Vietnamese auto shops.

About the photo posted above: Within the last two years I have flown close to two million miles total. We've hit 45 states and over 350 cities across North America and Canada. Sometimes my crew and I are on the road touring for several weeks in a row and we start getting a little wacky. I believe the cause is sleep deprivation and constant flying, jet lag, and waiting in airports. I was running on about 2 hrs of sleep when this photo was taken. I still think living out of airplanes, hotels, and suit cases are much better than living under a desk.

From left to right is Emmett Vu Morgan (my road manager), Dat Phan (me), and Martin Mansour (friend and road crew member) is holding the camera. To temporarily take our minds off of the road madness, we decided to play some hacky sack during our two hour lay over Cincinnati.

This Dat Phan Hacky Sack moment was brought to you by The La Jolla Comedy Store (Comedy Club) in San Diego County. Here's a photo of me performing for 45 minutes in front of over 1,700 people at a convention. It felt like I was performing stand-up comedy in front of half a city block. About the photo posted above: I was never afraid of elephants until I saw what one did to Jeff Corwin. Those animals are strong! I saw an Elephant on CNN toss Jeff around like a rag doll then it effortlessly ripped up his left arm tendons with its trunk. You wouldn't believe the actual strength of this magnificent creature!

I need the tendons in my arms to hold up the microphone. Thats me hiding to the left while co-hosting an animal show at Marine World.
